“Camden students have benefited from Archway Programs’ specialized instruction and caring educators for years. We are thrilled to be able to offer families of some of our youngest learners the services they need through an Archway Program site right here in the City. I am confident that Cooper’s Poynt and Archway will form a lasting partnership that best serves some of our highest needs K – 5th graders, while allowing them to be included in a traditional school environment right here in Camden.” - Katrina McCombs, Acting State Superintendent

The Archway School at Cooper’s Poynt, a NJ DOE Approved Private School for Students with Disabilities (APSSD), is located in a public elementary school in North Camden. This program was launched in September 2018 and brings an innovative multi-sensory approach to youth delivering academics, peer integration, social and life skills. The Archway School at Cooper's Poynt serves elementary age students (ages 5-13) primarily in the Camden City and surrounding school districts. The objective is to focus on each child’s strengths while providing positive developmental supports to those with behavioral, emotional, intellectual and/or multiple disabilities.
The Archway School at Cooper’s Poynt features a high staff-to-student ratio with a maximum of six students in each classroom and consists of an all-purpose behavior mod room, office space for staff members, and two additional classrooms. Archway staff provides additional support services to students to help address any challenges they may be facing. Learning takes place in traditional classroom settings with a high level of personal attention. Certified teachers, counselors and therapists work with students in small class environments, delivering caring educational services that all parents desire for their children.
